**Job Description**:
The role of the dispatcher is a multi-faceted position that requires excellent time management, superior organizational skills paired with impeccable communication skills. The dispatch is responsible for ensuring that every project has the correct staffing power, this is coordinated with the project managers. As the dispatcher you are the main point of contact for any and all after hours calls that pertain to job related issues, or emergency breakdowns. Furthermore, this role is the management of the company vehicle fleet. Ensuring that any and all maintenance is scheduled in a timely, cost-efficient manner, as well as making sure that licensing and documentation for each vehicle is current and up to date. The third portion of this role is to source, order and coordinate the purchase of consumables, the scheduling of pick up and deliveries, including those of custom fabricated orders for customers, and materials that may be delivered for these custom orders. In this role you will be working closely with project managers, millwrights, and the tool crib personnel. Seamless communication and pragmatic thinking will be ideal assets to this role.

Qualifications:

- 2 years of dispatch/service coordinator experience in a related field
- 1 year of fleet management
- 2 years in a similar industrial setting
- A working knowledge of the welding, millwrighting, and fabrication trades
- A valid G class driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Able to handle and manage stress in an effective and professional manner.

Dispatcher/Coordinator Job Responsibilities:

- Arranges transportation for pickup and returns with our suppliers and vendors including oversize loads
- Ship by examining items, destination, route, rate, and delivery time; ordering carriers.
- Receive and answer emergency and non-emergency calls
- Assists our field crews with expediting procuring tools and equipment to site
- Assist in coordinating job box lists for projects
- Dispatch and schedule all manpower, tools and equipment to projects
- Ensure that Millwrights have their required Safety Tickets
- Proactively address problems and suggest solutions
- Assess situation and prioritize calls
- Oversee the route of field units and track delivery status of products
- Coordinate schedule in the most effective manner
- Inform field units about orders and traffic
- Track and update call logs and data in software programs
- Tracking and maintenance requirements for all Trucks
- Provide reports to upper management
- Track and log maintenance on all tools and equipment
- Ensure coordination with project managers for manpower loading on projects
- Assist in company reviews for all trades employees
- Assist in getting quotations for doing any required building maintenance
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
- And other duties as assigned

Purchasing Responsibilities:

- Inventories stock - Consumables, Gases, Corten, Steel inventory,
- Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading, reconciling quantities, and noting discrepancies.
- Keeps customers informed by forwarding notice of item availability, shipment date and method, and current status; answering questions.
- Protects the organization’s reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential.
- Organizes item order by editing for price, promotions, and weight compliance.
- Arranges shipments by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating delivery requirements, and placing/expediting orders.
- Ensures we are getting best pricing for tools and equipment required.
- Keeps our costing sheets up to date and accurate for the entire year
- And Other duties as assigned

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
