About Us:
Pleasant Heights After School (PHAS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe and enriching before and after school care for children aged 5 to 12. We are committed to creating a nurturing environment where children thrive. To enhance our digital presence and strengthen internal IT security, we are seeking a Part-Time IT & Marketing Specialist to join our team.

Position Overview:
This role is responsible for IT security, cloud backup management, and website maintenance while also handling minor social media management (posting 2-3 times on Instagram monthly). The position is part-time (0.2 FTE, 8 hours per week) and is ideal for someone who is tech-savvy, creative, and experienced in both IT infrastructure and basic level social media.

Key Responsibilities:
IT & Security (80%)
- Manage cloud backups and ensure data security compliance (Office 365 SharePoint specifically).
- Maintain website plugins, security tools, and general website health.
- Provide basic tech support for staff, troubleshooting general minor IT issues.

Marketing & Digital Media (20%)
- Manage PHAS social media accounts (content creation, scheduling, engagement).
- Track and analyze social media engagement and website traffic for insights.
- Assist in branding and outreach efforts to improve community engagement along with the CEO.

Qualifications:

- Education: Diploma or degree in IT, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in IT support. Experience in non-profit or childcare settings is an asset.
- Skills:

- Familiarity with website management tools (WordPress).
- Proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, MailChimp).
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or equivalent).
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and cloud storage systems.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Working Conditions:

- Flexible schedule (90% remote work possible - rare in person support for computer or phone issues requires someone living locally).
- Approx. 8 hours per week, scheduled in collaboration with the CEO.

Compensation:

- $33 per hour
