Program Assistant

**Function/Purpose**:
This position is responsible to assist Community Development department with the operation of a variety of recreation and/or arts and culture programs, summer youth camps and other community programming, ensuring that all standards and high customer service levels are met. The Program Assistant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of various fun, safe, recreation, arts and culture programs and camp opportunities.

**Job Requirements**:

- Grade 10 or equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Demonstrated high level of verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Standard First Aid Certificate
- Commitment to the City’s Cornerstone Values.
- Criminal Records Check
- Arts & Culture Basic knowledge of arts and culture activities and requirements.

**Affiliation**: Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 417

**Remuneration**:$20.04 to $21.22 per hour.

**Hours of Work**:Hours of work as scheduled with no minimum guarantee. Availability required for afternoons, evenings during the school year and daytime during summer break.
