**Position: Accounts Receivable**

ContainerWorld is a state-of-the-art forwarding, warehousing and distribution Company located in Richmond, British Columbia providing premier services for the beverage industry; with approximately 500 employees throughout its BC facilities. ContainerWorld also operates in Ontario.

**Hours**: Monday-Friday 8.00 am-4.30 pm**

**Position overview**:This is a 13-month contract position**. Working mainly independently with guidance of Credit Manager as required, assists with the collection of accounts receivable and related activities in order to maintain the Company’s liquidity.
- Assists with the collection of Accounts Receivable due and past due balances
- Prepare daily bank deposits and pull daily wire payment information
- Post all receipts into Sage in a timely manner and follow up with customers on short payments and unapplied amounts
- Generate monthly billing in Sage, distribute invoices to customers with backup documentation; maintain general filing of all invoices and backup documentation for future reference as required
- Interact with other accounts receivable, accounts payable and accounting duties as required

**Required Qualifications**:

- Post secondary courses plus 2-3 years of related experience, or specialist certificate/diploma.

**Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Basic knowledge and understanding of accounting theory
- Experience working on Sage, Truckmate, Accellos is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Requires strong interpersonal skills when dealing with internal and external customers
- A self-starter with ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Commitment to meeting deadlines
