**About the Opportunity**
APG is looking for a full-time **Accounts Receivable Specialist** based in **Richmond, B.C**, with 1 day work from home after an initial training period.
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Alive Publishing Group, you will be responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. Working as part of the Finance team, you will maintain ledgers, credit balances, and resolve Accounts irregularities. You will also administer claims, refunds, adjustments, and other accounting transactions related to A/R management.
- **A day in the life of an Accounts Receivable Specialist**:_
- Manage and oversee the accounts receivable process.
- Prepare customer statements, consolidated bills, and invoices; reconcile customer accounts in both Canada and the USA.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data.
- Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner, issuing claims, refunds, and adjustment memos as needed.
- Manage collection efforts and associated functions; remind clients about upcoming payments or past-due accounts.
- Produce weekly reports; create ad hoc reports for key stakeholders and provide digital copies of records when requested.
- Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquiries related to accounts receivables.
- Assist in monthly closing, annual audit requirements, general financial management, analysis, and other special projects as required.

- 2-3 years of experience with collections, invoicing, and/or accounts receivable
- Outstanding ability to communicate confidently, verbally and in writing
- Salesforce CRM & Microsoft Dynamics GP knowledge preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
- Displays service excellence in dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously
- High level of integrity and work ethics
- A positive can-do attitude

- Advanced education in a business discipline or accounting is an asset
