As an Assistant Manager at Tim Hortons, you’ll support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth service, high-quality food, and a motivated team. You’ll assist with inventory management, controlling costs, and maintaining food safety standards. Your role will also involve training and developing staff, assisting with guest concerns, and supporting scheduling. With your leadership and communication skills, you’ll help drive performance, boost customer satisfaction, and contribute to building community relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations to ensure smooth business flow and the production and service of high-quality food and drinks by a well-trained team.
- Ensure operational excellence by following standard operating procedures and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards.
- Help analyze restaurant performance through audits and contribute to the creation of action plans for improvements.
- Foster positive guest relationships by ensuring fast, accurate service and assisting with complaints when needed.
- Help control food, paper, and labor costs to align with restaurant goals, and assist with inventory and cash handling procedures.
- Assist in restaurant ordering, inventory control, and scheduling, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time.
- Support the Restaurant Manager with payroll tasks, timecard reviews, and compliance with applicable legislation.
- Contribute to performance analysis and lead initiatives to enhance restaurant performance.
- Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with the local community and engage in corporate social responsibility programs.
- Help establish security procedures to ensure the safety of team members and guests.
- Recruit, train, and develop new and existing team members while motivating them to meet targets.
- Assist with setting personal and team goals, maintaining open communication, and encouraging a positive team environment.
- Support the Restaurant Manager in managing disciplinary actions and ensuring fair management of offenses.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, conduct regular workplace inspections, and train the team on PPE and safe work practices.
- Assist in reporting and investigating work-related injuries and enforcing health and safety policies.
- Keep the Restaurant Manager informed of any hazards and contribute suggestions for improvements.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in a fast-service restaurant setting, with a strong understanding of restaurant operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to support and motivate a team to achieve goals.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for long periods, lift and carry up to 25 lbs., and perform tasks involving reaching and bending.
