Reporting to the Vice President - Construction, and the Commercial Construction Manager, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for leading projects from concept to on time completion utilizing project management methods; additionally, supporting the construction manager and commercial team on larger scale programs and projects from concept to completion. We provide customers with energy saving solutions, fire separations, building envelope services and more. - Providing support to the Commercial Project Team in all project assignments as required to enhance the department’s workflow. - Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, being involved in the full lifecycle of the project. - Leading cross functional project team meetings to communicate project status while escalating risks and concerns; in addition, supporting the Construction Manager on these duties related to larger projects. - Assisting and supporting the project estimator as needed/ attend site visits to review current and potential new projects. - Providing site information and inspection reports to the Safety and Project Managers. - Coordinating the management of day-to-day operational aspects of a project, effectively communicating with the Project Superintendent, Foreman, and Field Employees. - Facilitating team and client meetings effectively. - Identifying opportunities for improvement and making constructive suggestions for change - Preparing status reports of project. - Effectively conveying our message in written and verbal business development discussions. - Travel required to some job sites. Out of town travel required at times. **Other considerations and requirements**: - 1-3 years minimum in related field preferred - Schedule will consist of Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM - Extensive experience in specialty services preferred (spray foam, insulation, fire proofing, etc.) is considered an asset - Experience in estimating to be considered an asset - Ability to deliver engaging, informative, well-organized presentations - Ability to demonstrate conflict resolution and strong critical thinking skills - Ability to interact and communicate with various levels of management, customers, and parts of operations - Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and written and verbal communication skills - Proficient with business technical writing and modelling presentations - Ability to manage multiple projects and effectively meet deadlines - Clean Driver’s Abstract. _**No Exceptions**_ - Clean criminal record & child abuse registry check to be provided upon hiring. **_**No Exceptions**_ **Behavioural Attributes**: - Communication: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and articulate ideas and actionable recommendations. - Team Player: Loves being part of a team, both leading and serving; demonstrated deep commitment to colleagues. - Personality: Confidence without arrogance; driven to continually “up their game" regardless of prior successes.
