Operating for over 29 years in Mount Uniacke, NS, **Custom Millwork Atlantic Inc**., has built a solid reputation for producing the highest quality custom cabinetry, architectural woodwork, and custom mouldings and trim for commercial, high-end multi-unit residential, industrial, institutional, and retail spaces. We are in love with our craft and bring passion to every project, no matter the size or scope. We are looking for a _**BUSINESS MANAGER **_to join our leadership team.

Our company is growing, and with growth comes change which requires a keen ability to adapt and respond to ever-changing economic, market, and labour force conditions. Our core processes and methods have led to our current success which is the foundation that guides our growth strategy.

**As a hands-on contributor who sees the big picture, you will**:

- Develop long range production schedules to meet client expectations and anticipate issues to enable streamlining of production flow to achieve deadlines.
- Work closely with Project Managers and function as a liaison between the design / construction teams and the millwork shop operations team.
- Oversee inventory control and procurement activities to ensure adequate inventory levels needed for production schedules.
- Complete and present job cost reports to owners demonstrating insights into overages and plans for mitigating potential losses to quality, schedule, cost, or safety.
- Participate in software & systems integration projects with focus on understanding what business issues could be resolved using software, what options are available, and which would best meet the organization’s needs.
- Responsible for financial reporting and hold accountability for achieving quarterly profit & loss targets.
- Oversee status of Accounts Receivable and employ a hands-on approach to collections as necessary.
- Document core processes and develop onboarding / training programs to transition knowledge between employees.

**Skills and certifications required**:

- Must demonstrate business acumen while able to communicate across all levels of the organization, from the shop floor to the boardroom.
- Strong understanding of technology and process optimization.
- Possess a minimum of 5+ years manufacturing and/or construction industry experience, ideally in multi-unit residential or healthcare facility environments.
- Must have valid driver’s licence, clear driver’s abstract, and reliable transportation. Public transportation is not available.
