Commission Based Sales Representative

Experienced sale representative with extensive knowledge of the manufacturing, construction, and industrial equipment in the BC market.

TDS Technologies is a Custom Stainless-Steel full-service fabrication shop located on Annacis Island. We manufacture automated industrial spray equipment for the lumber industry as well industrial food service equipment and repair. We are looking to diversify our shop with local equipment or products in similar fields in between our longer-term projects. We are looking for products what would have a low engineering cost with high production capacity in the shop.

Primary Responsibilities
- Travel to companies and businesses to specify and sell industrial scale equipment for mechanical or commercial uses.
- Review existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Manage and develop new customers, while maintaining existing sales within assigned customers and a given sales territory.
- Provide competitive information such as bid situations, pricing data, or bundling arrangements.
- Review quotes with management to ensure profitability goal are being met.
- Communicate equipment specifications with design engineers.
- Regular communication with shop floor to discuss customer needs and timelines.
- Improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
- Take orders and deliver products.
- Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of manufacturing department’s production and delivery schedules.
- Arrange for installation and test-operation of machinery and recommends solutions to product-related problems.
- Arrange for repairs as needed.
- Develop a daily/weekly call list and maintain information accuracy monthly.
- Review daily sales reports.
- Review monthly sales report with management to determine if goals and objectives are being met.

**Qualifications**:

- 5-10 years equipment sales experience.
- High School degree (University Degree or Certificate Preferred).
- Proven track record of sales growth.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and mange their time.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance
Part-time hours: 5-30 per week

**Salary**: From $15.65 per hour

Supplemental pay types:

- Commission pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Delta, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
