The role of the Planning and Scheduling Co-ordinator is to implement, maintain and continuously improve the Planning & Scheduling DMS, Breakdown Elimination DMS and Defect Handing DMS for the plant equipment. Collaborate with SME and Trades to plan out Corrective actions. Responsible for the organization and maintenance of parts and tools, assists maintenance technicians by providing tools and parts necessary to complete their projects. Responsible for maintaining inventory by ordering and stocking parts as necessary in a cost effective culture.- Review preventative maintenance programs, schedule work assignments by tracking maintenance professions, and reviewing preventive maintenance plans for effectiveness.- Manage work request / work orders by planning work orders, prioritizing work orders, verifying work orders for accuracy, scheduling, tracking completed work orders.- Collaborate with SME and Trades to plan out difficult work orders, develop well defined tasks / plan for workorders.- Maintain monthly maintenance activity reports by completing KPI’s reports, downtime updates and line efficiency reports and completing special projects as assigned by maintenance manager.- Track work order performance by examining work order completion; categorize work orders according to priority and readjusting work order completion rations based on current maintenance staffing levels.- Review work order feedback from the trades and update maintenance plans, tasks, or timing as needed- Create work orders for tasks identified by either the maintenance trades, team leaders or Engineering department for equipment that is in need of repair or Special projects- Review work notification requests coming from various departments. Ensure compliance of proper safety, quality and environmental requirements in work- Work with maintenance crafts on kitting job packages for all scheduled WO’s as needed.- Maintain and organize the maintenance parts and tool area.- Control part spends and looks for areas of opportunities for cost savings.- Order requested items and log entries in the allocated software programs ( CMMS ).- Assist all maintenance and engineering personnel locate and record all parts used.- Produce and distribute maintenance reports as required.- Back up Maintenance planner/scheduler, purchaser or CMMS system updates when required.- Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations, practices and policies.- Whenever Food Safety & Quality concerns are noted, the employees are empowered to stop the production lines to help resolve the problem and to ensure food produced is of highest safety & quality standard.- Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Post-Secondary education in industrial repairs, electrical or mechanical or a related field- A minimum of five years’ experience in a similar position within a large manufacturing facility- Good knowledge of electrical industrial installations, troubleshooting and mechanical repairs- Familiarity with reliability centered and progressive maintenance- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills;- Advanced skills with MS Office and Outlook.- Experience with a CMMS software required- Ability to communicate clearly with other employees and vendors- At least two years of inventory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.- Budgeting and cost comparison a plus- Must be able to multi-task a variety of responsibilities- A positive work attitude.
