The
**Assistant Manager, Slope, Parks & Trails** will report directly to the Manager, Slope Maintenance and will oversee a team of Slope, Terrain Park, and Trail workers. This position is responsible for helping to create a community of employees united by purpose and fun, deliver a mountain experience to guests that inspires stories, and who achieve departmental objectives and key results.

This position and their team are responsible for ensuring the best and safest on-hill product is produced and maintained. They will plan, supervise, and coordinate the activities of teams engaged in slope maintenance, terrain park, and trail maintenance.

**WHAT WILL I BE DOING?**
- Deliver a slope, terrain park, and trail product that meets the established standards creating revolutionary skiing, riding, hiking, and biking experiences.
- Coordinate and oversee daily shift work and prepare and execute daily shift briefings.
- Maximize productivity and control labour costs by creating and maintaining schedules according to budgets and operational demands.
- Plan and provide standardized on-boarding and training, including all proper documentation, weighted heavily on productivity and safety compliance.
- Manage performance and motivate by setting clear expectations, measuring productivity, coaching, addressing concerns, and recognizing achievements.
- Enforce safety regulations and coordinate accident procedures including related documentation.
- Create and maintain a high standard of thorough documentation for slope, parks, and trails.
- Liaise with the Manager, Event Operations on the design and execution of both summer and winter events.

**WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?**
- 5+ years slope maintenance, terrain park or trail maintenance experience required
- Landscape construction experience an asset
- Experience managing a medium size (30+ employees) work unit an asset
