Our mandate is to develop, manage and improve systems to recover used packaging and end-of-life products from consumers and ensure they are properly recycled and not land-filled or incinerated.

As a leader in extended producer responsibility, Return-It has diverted over 24.7 billion beverage containers from landfills and waterways over the last 29 years, creating a better future for people, communities and the planet.

Job Overview:
Encorp Pacific Canada is seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to fill the position of Regional Operations Manager. Reporting to the Director of Vancouver Island Operations, the Regional Operations Manager (“ROM”) is the key liaison who manages the relationship between Encorp and it’s 160+ independently owned Return-It depots. The ROM interacts with Depot Operators as the ‘bridge’ between them and Encorp head office to encourage, support and lead the depots to better understand the Encorp system, improve their operations, customer service and backroom management with a goal of improving the entire depot network and the recovery rate. This person will foster and develop an environment and relationship that is consistent with the company’s Vision, Mission and Values and ultimately aids in the success of the depots to support Encorp’s key objective of increasing the container recovery rate. The ROM will maintain a portfolio of depots they manage directly and work collaboratively with the other members of the ROM team, the operations team. Depending on the nature of the situation, the ROM will also often interface with other departments such as customer service, marketing, IT, logistics and finance.

Job Responsibilities:
**1. Depot Relations and Management**
- Oversee Return-It depots to enhance operating standards, efficiency, and performance and increase Encorp’s recovery rate.
- Conduct purpose-driven depot visits, collaborating closely with operators to build stronger relationships and improve depot operations.
- Continuously monitor industry trends, challenges, and opportunities to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage Return-It depots to improve operating standards and work closely with depot operators to strengthen relationships.
- A ROM is the first contact for operators when they are facing a critical situation. ROMs are expected to manage and respond to depot operations inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.

**2. Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management**
- Serve as the liaison between their portfolio of depot operators and Encorp head office, fostering collaboration, communication, and alignment.
- Actively engage with various depot stakeholders to promote Encorp's mission and objectives.
- Serve as the first point of contact for depot operations inquiries, addressing critical situations and providing timely solutions.

**3. Business Strategy and Encorp Program Management**
- Drive adoption and sustainability of new programs, systems, and tools by effectively communicating corporate strategy and securing depot buy-in.
- Manage ongoing projects relevant to the operations department and Return-It depots, ensuring timely and successful execution.
- Support the development and implementation of new business strategies, actively participating in new projects to drive growth and innovation.
