Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a self-motivated PR Media Specialist to help elevate our brand awareness as we continue to grow.

What You’ll Do

You will report to the Director of PR and Communications, and be responsible for managing key media relationships, brainstorming unique pitch angles for products and our brand, planning our press communications strategy, and acting as a representative of the Nanoleaf brand. You will be a vital part of executing PR campaigns and partnerships, and working with a team of passionate creatives who are masters of their craft.

**Responsibilities**:
Media / Communication Strategy
- Managing and planning the PR calendar to align with key strategies and campaigns throughout the year
- Generating pitch angles for our products and company on a weekly basis
- Creating communications plans for campaigns to target the right media for maximum exposure
- Research and draft briefing materials and/or talking points to prepare internal team for interviews
- Act as a media spokesperson on behalf of the company and address questions and complaints Proactively align with other teams including sales and design to develop the best pitching strategies and timelines

Pitching
- Media outreach and monitoring trends to secure timely coverage, reviews, interviews with top outlets to reach our core audiences
- Prepare articles and press releases for the media for various announcements and launches
- Build and maintain existing relationships with media/press contacts to continually elevate our brand reputation
- Proactive outreach to continually build our network and media lists Assemble press kits

Events/Partnership
- Manage and execute on incoming marketing inquiries from media, events and various brand partnerships
- Plan and oversee press events
- Networking and pitching to the press about the company and products at relevant tradeshows and PR events

Other
- Coordinate shipping of product samples
- Assist with other PR/marketing-related tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- 2+ years of experience in media relations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong project management abilities
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Good understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Twitch and TikTok
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
- Desire for continuous improvement & learning
- Team player who is willing to provide assistance whenever and wherever needed

Preferred:

- Experience in the technology or smart home industry preferred
- PC or Console gaming experience
- Experience with Meltwater or similar media monitoring platforms

**Salary**: $40,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
