Summary:

Matte PR offers an integrated internship program preparing students for a career in digital communications and PR. We are a boutique agency where students get to experience a dynamic agency environment. We prioritize hiring within and are seeking interns who are looking for jobs post-graduation.

Job Description:

The public relations intern will work with the digital and media relations teams. Interns will collaborate across various industries, including fashion, lifestyle, tech, real estate and charitable organizations. Interns will directly support consultants in crafting social media content, writing blogs, developing pitches, building media lists, creating press releases, researching story angles, and conducting coverage reporting. Interns working at Matte PR can expect to interact with top-tier publications such as FASHION, ELLE Canada, The Kit, Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, Toronto Sun and more.

Duties/Assignments

· Direct support for account managers

· Pitch writing and pitching

· Building media lists

· Researching story angles

· Tracking media coverage

· Building coverage reports

· Social media content creation (Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok)

· Social media monitoring

· Proactive and reactive social media engagement

· Writing and editing blog content

· Offer creative ideas and strategy

· Administrative tasks

· Skills to be further developed:

· Excellent time management, organizational, analytical and logistical support skills

· Google workspace proficiency

· Excellent project coordination and time management skills

· Ability to self-manage workload and prioritize

· Creative and strategic thinking
