**Responsibilities**:

- Provide day to day support of network operations across environment that includes multiple branch offices and cloud
- Oversee and analyze network function, capacity, and health
- Plan and recommend designs to continuously improve the existing network environment, in collaboration with stakeholder groups
- Implement networking best practices and standards throughout the infrastructure, with a focus on documentation
- Work in hybrid scenario with combination of remote and in-office activities, with occasional travel in Canada and US
- Work after hours for maintenance, implementations, and On-Call emergencies
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:

- University degree/college diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant experience with VMware networking (NSX), VLANs, VXLANs
- Strong understanding of L2 and L3 networks with experience troubleshooting network equipment and clients through all 7 layers
- Proficient with Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
- Experience with MPLS, site-to-site (IPSEC) VPN, and branch office connectivity
- Proven working knowledge with protocols - BGP, OSPF, Spanning-Tree, HSRP and VRRP or VLT
- Detail-oriented personality with ability to multi-task efficiently
- Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
- Ability to communicate with both non-technical and technically adept personnel clearly and efficiently
- Strong desire to learn and use new technology within industry best practices

**Preferred Experience**:

- Emphasis on Dell and Cisco enterprise network technologies
- VMware Products (vCenter, vSphere ESXi, vRl, vRealize Suite)
- Data Center LAN technologies (fabric switching, load balancing, DNS/DHCP, zoning and segmentation)
- Proficient with network troubleshooting and security tools (WireShark, nmap, Metasploit)
- Industry recognized certifications are an asset (CCNA, VCTA-NV, MCSA, VCP)
