**Community Outreach Supervisor (Full-time, Permanent)**

**Working with vulnerable youth is more than just a job; it’s a calling**

You thrive in an environment that supports and empowers you to do what it takes to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

At Durham Youth Services (DYS), we partner with youth to achieve and maintain lasting solutions to their housing crisis. As the Community Outreach Supervisor, your days will be challenging and rewarding, and no two days will feel the same As a member of the leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful operation of community outreach programs, supporting youth aged 16 - 24. Providing direct leadership, coaching and supervision to a team of outreach employees, the Community Outreach Supervisor leads the team to ensure adequate support for the youth in each program, ensures program targets and budgets are achieved, oversees facilities of two transitional homes, and manages escalated client concerns. In partnership with agency leadership, and with the front-line team working within each program, you will review and revise program design to ensure programs operate effectively and efficiently.

You are a compassionate, humble, and resilient leader with a gift for building trust and making a meaningful connection with staff and youth. You see potential in young people, despite complex barriers, and you have the ability to inspire your team to deliver service that is trauma-informed and rooted in a housing-first philosophy. You are a resourceful problem-solver, able to support your team in finding and accessing the resources needed to support youth with complex mental health, addictions, and various types of trauma. You love to celebrate as clients transition from homelessness to housing and you thrive in an environment where your input is listened to, valued, and implemented to make a meaningful difference. With your help, we will achieve our vision of ending youth homelessness in the Durham Region
