Toronto, Canada commonsku Full time

Events Coordinator

commonsku is a fast-growing SaaS company that changes the way businesses within the $25 Billion promotional products space collaborate and work. We empower entrepreneurs to grow their businesses by creating a more collaborative and streamlined product-based supply chain.

About the role and about you

As the Events Coordinator of commonsku, you will assist in the coordination of our in-person, virtual events and our HQ meetings.

commonsku has executed over 50 in-person and virtual events since 2015. We design the kind of events that we ourselves would want to attend. We put a lot of care and attention into creating phenomenal experiences for our attendees. This includes our programming from the types of venues we choose to the kind of merchandise we design. We stay away from big hotel chains and are always looking for unique and creative environments. Here’s a recent example of an event we produced in Palm Springs in 2021.

This position reports to the VP of Marketing but will also work with our President and Chief Content Officer on events. If this sounds like you, we want to meet you

This is a remote-first hybrid role. You will be required to travel to Toronto and other cities in Canada and USA, from time to time as required based on business needs such as meetings, employee or customer events, and more.

What you’ll be doing:

- In-person events: set up the event and manage Eventbrite software, coordinate with the venue and vendors, coordinate with speakers and sponsors, and help with event logistics leading up to, during and after the event.
- Virtual events: set up the event on Hopin or Zoom, coordinate with speakers and sponsors, and help with event logistics leading up to, during and after the event.
- HQ Meetings (in-person and virtual): communicate with the team, send invites and surveys, organize lunches, and coordinate any merch we’ll be giving away.

Your experience:

- 1-2 years of experience in an Events Coordinator or similar role
- Bachelor’s Degree in event management, marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, or a related field
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities
- Experience working with budgets up to $200,000
- Strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated composure under pressure
