**_What We Do: _** At Sandbox Events we provide a full suite of a la carte event management and support services to our clients.
From end-to-end event development and design to full delivery, we employ the best and most experienced event professionals in the industry to provide our clients with first class experience and support at every stage of their program.
**_What We're Looking For: _**
We are searching for a talented and motivated Senior Coordinator to assist in the organization and execution of unforgettable events. As the Senior Coordinator, you should be well-organized and possess a sound knowledge of vendor management. Excellent communication and attention to detail are vital in this role, as our success depends on meeting our clients’ tailored event requirements.
**_Job Responsibilities: _**
- Coordinate and execute all aspects of event arrangements necessary to ensure client objectives and expectations are met including working with clients in menu planning, beverage requirements, room setup, audio and visual requests, decor, detailing and securing services of outside vendors;
- Work with Event Managers to execute clients’ event vision, details, and budget;
- Respond to Event Manager and client requests in a timely fashion, maintaining thorough communication with clients and internal team from initial planning to final event billings;
- Research vendors (catering, decorators, musicians etc.) and choose the best combination of quality and cost;
- Negotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms;
- Work in tandem with other team members to ensure clear communication across program;
- Maintain a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events;
- Manage supplier RFP’s, contracts and services;
- Build event websites and registration for client programs using Aventri;
- Participate in daily briefing meetings and weekly status update calls;
- The position will be ever developing as the organization grows.
**_Qualifications: _**
- Degree in relevant field is required;
- Proven experience as event coordinator with history of organizing successful events;
- Proficient in MS Office;
- Excellent vendor management skills;
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability;
- Well-organized with multi-tasking skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Creativity;
- Problem-solving ability.
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 14 months
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
