Account Manager

Overview:
Waters is seeking a dynamic individual to fill the position Chemistry Account Manager located in the greater Toronto area. The Chemistry Account Manager is responsible for selling Waters LC/SFC Column Technologies, Sample Preparation Products and Consumables Products within their assigned geographic territory. In this role, the Chemistry Account Manager will develop a business plan to manage the consumables business and expand market share within the sales territory. Responsibilities will include delivering technical presentations and taking part in workshops and demonstrations to sell chemistry consumables products into a wide variety of markets, such as life science, pharmaceutical, food and environmental, clinical and chemical/materials. Frequent travel throughout Canada is required.

Customers will include research laboratories, government laboratories, universities and larger key accounts.

**Responsibilities**:

- Meet or exceed sales targets
- Maintain installed base customer satisfaction
- Aggressively develop new prospects and penetrate competitive accounts
- Visit customers on a daily basis to highlight Waters solutions and help customers with their challenges
- Build technical competency on Waters solution and to be perceived by customers as a credible resource
- Provide information to marketing team to create business development programs
- Submit accurate and timely monthly sales forecasts
- Develop business through monthly plans of action

Qualifications:

- Degree BSc/Master/Ph.D in scientific areas such as chemistry, biology, or biochemistry
- At least 3 years of chromatography experience. UPLC, Mass Spec, field sales, service and/or marketing is a plus
- Action orientated and self-driven for results
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Good organization/planning/time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a good listener
- Mature disposition, positive attitude and strong sense of commitment
- Adaptive to dynamic and changing environment
- Strong technical background in analytical technologies, especially LC and MS
- Excellent writing and speaking skills
