**Accounting Manager**

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for the management and oversight of the Accounting and related functions for one of our manufacturing plants, including operational financial reporting, financial budgeting and planning, audits and miscellaneous government remittance.

As an Accounting Manager, you will play a key and leading role in ensuring the plant meets it’s short-and long-term targets. This position reports to the head office Chief Operating Officer and Controller to ensure the financial stability and growth of the manufacturing plant.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare periodic financial and operational reports to management team
- Manage daily cash flow and prepare bank position and reconciliations
- Process bi-weekly payroll and prepare timely payroll remittance
- Review and reconcile balance sheet and intercompany transactions
- Prepare operational budget, strategic planning and forecasting annually or as required
- Analyze the operational results, investigate actual variances to budget, communicate insights to leadership team
- Ensure that statutory financial obligations including audit, tax and other Government filings are completed on a timely and efficient manner
- Provide training and mentoring to junior accounting staff, supervise their performance
- Perform ad-hoc analysis to support the growth of the business and identify opportunities for efficiency and improvement
- Other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the top management team

**Knowledge & Skills Required**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline
- CPA (CMA, CGA or CA) designation, or an equivalent combination of related experience and education
- Minimum 5 years accounting experience in a senior accounting role
- Human Resources experience considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work closely with leadership team

Salary will vary according to previous work experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
