**Human Resources Generalist**

We are looking for a service-oriented individual to join our Human Resources department. Our small HR team strives to deliver high quality programs to the business and provide exceptional support to our employees. Our goal is to establish long-term employment relationships with our employees. At ABSA we are taking steps to digitally transform our business and this position will play a key role in modernizing our HR programs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring compliance with internal HR policies and procedures.
- Planning and conducting new employee onboarding, training, and orientations.
- Planning and coordinating recruitment activities such as job postings, applicant screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Maintaining employee files and records.
- Assisting with HR improvement projects and policy/procedure revisions.
- Providing support to payroll and benefits administration.
- Overseeing the administration of the employee service awards program.

Experience, Qualifications, and Attributes
- Post secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or a related field of study.
- A minimum of 2 years prior Human Resources administration experience.
- Prior experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar Human Resources Information Systems.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong understanding of Alberta employment regulations (standards, privacy, human rights, etc.)
- Microsoft Office skills
