Job Overview:
Here at Lavash we are seeking a skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our team. This is an opportunity to work with the owner and create an amazing establishment on Stevenson waterfront. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen operations, menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers. This is a leadership role that requires strong culinary skills, excellent organizational abilities, and the ability to manage a team.
**Duties**:
- Plan and create menus that are innovative and appealing to customers
- Oversee food preparation and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Collaborate with the owner to develop new recipes and improve existing ones
- Monitor food costs and work within budgetary constraints
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working in a similar role in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food handling and safety procedures
- Excellent culinary skills with the ability to create delicious and visually appealing dishes
- Proven experience in menu planning and recipe development
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

**Salary**: Up to $65,000.00 per year
