**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation and coordination of the quarterly and annual financial package, including Financial Statements, Management’s Discussion and Analysis.
- Assist with research and collaborate with EGI Finance Department, Accounting Research Expert Group and other business units on accounting issues as they arise, including assessing, documenting, resolving and communicating the accounting, disclosure and regulatory implications on EGD’s financial statements and the accompanying notes
- Coordinate and prepare consolidated EGI quarterly impairment analysis, balance sheet analysis, contract review checklist and other key schedules as required
- Ongoing support of ad hoc requests
- Ensure controls and processes are properly maintained and SOX compliance is achieved
- Maintain a working knowledge of US GAAP

**MUST HAVE qualifications**:

- University degree in a business or accounting program
- Possession of professional accounting designation (CPA) with 5+ years post-qualification experience.

** Accounting designation and public accounting or financial reporting experience is a great asset
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proven oral and written communication skills
- Proven interpersonal skills in dealing with and obtaining cooperation from others
- High level of personal and professional integrity
- Willing to work under pressure and some overtime to meet tight deadlines

**NICE TO HAVE qualifications**:

- Accounting designation and public accounting or financial reporting experience would be a great asset
- Familiarity with Oracle, SAP, Hyperion Smartview and Wdesk
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience in a Public Practice Accounting role
- Experience in Technical Accounting/Accounting Research role
- Experience in External Financial Reporting rol

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Chatham-Kent, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- relevant: 5 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Chartered Professional Accountant (required)
