The Accounting Analyst will play an integral part in gathering and monitoring financial data, preparing accurate statements and reports. The role will focus on preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, day-to-day treasury functions, and will be responsible for assisting with internal and external financial statements and reports, while ensuring that all documentation and transactions are in compliance with IFRS.
**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**
- Prepare monthly journal entries and perform bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Perform verification and reconciliation of accounts, while verifying bank deposits and payments, and ensuring a timely follow-up action is taken according to corporate standards.
- Preparation of daily cash reporting preparing weekly, rolling cash flow forecasts to give the leadership team clear oversight of short-term and long-term cash requirements.
- Compile and analyze financial information for business units and perform variance analysis including property tax, utilities, and other financial transactions.
- Provide support, coordination, address and respond to queries from auditors and internal reviewers, while taking ownership of issues and ensuring a successful resolution.
- Prepare year-end working papers and schedules for the annual Financial Audit.
- Work collaboratively with accounting group and field staff to ensure transactions match funds received and sent.
- Identify opportunities to automate, streamline and further develop the financial reporting processes.

**WHAT WILL YOU NEED?**
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting with strong understanding of accounting principles.
- 1-3 years of practical experience with full-cycle accounting and bank reconciliations.
- YARDI experience is considered an asset.
- Advance Microsoft Excel skills.
- Ability to work with large volume of daily transactions and in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
