Outside Parts Sales Rep

The Outside Parts Sales Representative sells parts and service business from accounts through personal and telephone contacts. The representative will develop new accounts, recover lost accounts, and manage established accounts.

**Your Key Responsibilities in Outside Parts Sales**:
- Work directly with the Parts Manager / General Manager to determine the customer base.
- Call on new and existing customers to determine and review their needs.
- Establish and maintain good working relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Demonstrate strong focus on continuously improving parts sales.
- Prepare presentations and sales proposals to customers, promoting other department services; New and Used Truck Sales Service, Leasing, Rentals.
- Maintain necessary product sales training.
- Participate in industry events and sales meetings as required and directed by management.
- Complete call reports for each customer visit.
- Maintain accurate and realistic customer account lists.
- Follow up on any parts delays or customer inquiries.
- Provide professional representation for the dealership and Company. Dress code is business casual, unless specified for business functions.
- Maintain a valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to our insurer.
- Make deliveries to customers as required.
- Maintain a clean company vehicle adhering to regular maintenance schedule.
- Comply with all relevant Health and Safety and environmental policies and procedures.

**Basic Qualifications**
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), Post-secondary education is preferred.
- 1 year sales experience - previous experience in a truck or automotive dealership or aftermarket environment is preferred.
- Competency in the following areas required, customer service, administrative skills, time management.
- Proficiency with software and computers (Microsoft Office).
- Solid mechanical aptitude, experience as automotive or truck technician is an asset.
- Self-motivated, high attention to detail and customer focused.
