We are looking for a committed Canine Hydrotherapy Associate to participate actively in the rehabilitation, care, and recovery of canine patients. You will work closely with and under the direction of a physical therapist treating canine patients with conditions that limit their ability to move functionally and/or perform optimally.

Job time allocation
- 80% providing hydrotherapy treatments to canine patients in an underwater treadmill (UWT) as well as interacting with their owners, offering rehabilitation care, support, and encouragement during the recovery process
- 10% assisting in the maintenance, cleaning, and function of hydrotherapy related equipment and general facility
- 5% communicating with physical therapists regarding any problems, discrepancies, and/or changes observed in patients
- 5% Reception duties, answer phones check out clients

Duties
- _Cultivate a climate of outstanding customer service, trust, empathy, and compassion for patients and their owners_. **Customer service is our paramount core value**:

- Operate underwater treadmill (UWT) and supervise and/or conduct canine patients’ hydrotherapy sessions.
- Perform laser, pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, alpha stimulation, and electric stimulation modality treatments as prescribed by a physical therapist.
- Obtain accurate documentation to support the delivery of physical therapy modalities and hydrotherapy services.
- Report on patients’ performance and participate in patient status judgments.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards.
- Assist and support clients during their dog’s rehabilitation process (measuring and fitting for mobility devices, performing nail trims, recording weight loss program progress, etc.).
- Work as part of the team in identifying patients’ rehabilitation needs and instruct and/or counsel their owners in ensuring patients’ progress, safety, and comfort.
- Inform therapists about any problems, discrepancies, and/or changes in patients observed during hydrotherapy in a clear and timely manner.
- Operate computer system(s) and software(s) necessary for reception duties.
- Collaborate effectively with other staff/team members in all aspects.
- Monitor, maintain, and document water quality and hydrotherapy related equipment.
- Participate in the maintenance and cleaning of other equipment, the facility, and surrounding grounds.

Working relationships. You will be an intricate part of a working team containing, therapists, hydrotherapy associates, reception and support staff, one office manager, and owners.
