Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our multidisciplinary clinic. This role involves supporting licensed physical therapists in providing quality patient care . This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' recovery journeys while working within a collaborative healthcare environment.
Job Requirements
- PTA/OTA diploma is mandatory
- Exceptional customer service skills and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong critical thinking
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing patient treatment plans tailored to individual needs
- Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist
- Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any concerns or changes in condition
- Support patients with mobility, strength, and functional activities to promote recovery
- Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment, ensuring all equipment is properly sanitized and maintained
Experience
- Prior experience is preferred but not mandatory, especially in physiotherapy clinic settings
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices is essential
- Previous work supporting physical therapists in clinical settings will be advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds
This role requires a compassionate approach combined with technical expertise to support patient recovery effectively. Candidates should be committed to ongoing professional development and delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.55-$24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
