Reporting to the Vice President Sales, the Business Development Executive works closely with our Account Executives to identify, generate, and develop new business opportunities throughout the Ontario market. We are not asking you to make countless cold calls or set up appointments with prospects for our Account Executives. You will be part of our team and your key role will be to research our prospects and work with the Account Executives to identify and develop these opportunities into new business.

**This will be a Hybrid role - 50-50**

**Responsibilities**:

- Research key prospects and provide information briefs on the target business and key shareholders to improve the discovery meetings of the Account Executives.
- In conjunction with Sales Managers, Account Executives and our marketing department create customer-centric presentations using PPT and video.
- Assist in the identification and onboarding of new projects.
- Prepare RFI’s and complete surveys for our customers and prospects.
- Identify new emerging trends in packaging, e-commerce and selling channels and work with the teams to introduce these to our customers and prospects.
- Generate new business ideas through independent scouting of internal and external sources.
- Monitor key selling channels for changes to strategy and relevant news.
- Monitor business news of top 25 prospects and present opportunities to Senior Management
- Monitor and maintain our prospect database and work with our US and Quebec prospect database to co-ordinate opportunities.
- Promote Atlantic Packaging through ongoing networking and new business development efforts including but not limited to trade shows, retail visits and research.

**Key Skills/ Must have**:

- Post secondary education.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Excellent time management skills and project-based experience.

**Nice to Have**:

- Extensive LinkedIn knowledge, experience, and profile.
- Independent worker familiar with Sales Force CRM.
- Inside sales experience and knowledge of sales cycle is an asset as is corrugated industry experience.
