Veterinary Assistant/receptionist

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. Your ability to multitask and communicate effectively will ensure a welcoming environment for both clients and pets.
**Duties**
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and confirm upcoming visits.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently.
- Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, including sample collection and preparation.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Provide information on pet health products and services offered by the clinic.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using office equipment and software for scheduling and record management.
- A passion for animal care and welfare is essential.
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
