**About Ravens Nest**:
Ravens Nest is a Child and Youth Advocacy Centre in the Cowichan Valley, addressing justice issues, child abuse, online exploitation, and child welfare. We support child and youth victims as they navigate the criminal justice system and are connected to a network of approximately 50 CYACs across Canada.
**Position Summary**:
We are seeking an **Administrative Victim Services Worker** to coordinate our Child and Youth Advocacy Program. This role involves collaborating with team members and supporting advocate case files and families to ensure effective service delivery.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Client Services**:
- Provide emotional support, safety planning, and information to children, youth and families in distress.
- Build trusting relationships with clients and offer court accompaniment as needed.
- **Program Administration**:
- Schedule client appointments and oversee daily operations of the Centre.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare statistical reports.
- **Collaboration**:
- Serve as the main contact for multidisciplinary team members and liaise with community service professionals.
- Participate in training and network meetings to enhance best practices.
**Qualifications**:
- Preferred degree in a related field and five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and training.
- Knowledge and experience working from a trauma informed lens
- Direct experience working with victims is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and personal vehicle.
- Valid First Aid certification.
**Skills and Abilities**:
- Experience with children and youth, especially those in crisis.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of the Canadian criminal justice system.
