About Raven’s Nest

Raven’s Nest is a Child and Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC) located in the Cowichan Valley, supporting children and youth who have experienced or witnessed violence. We offer integrated services that reduce systemic barriers for young victims and their non-offending family members as they navigate complex justice and social systems. Raven’s Nest is one of approximately 50 CYACs across Canada, working in partnership with police, child protection, health, and victim services to provide trauma-informed, wraparound care.

About the Role

The Administrative Victim Services Worker plays a key role in coordinating Raven’s Nest and ensuring children, youth, and families receive seamless, compassionate support. This position combines client-facing work with administrative leadership, ensuring high-quality service delivery and inter-agency collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

**Client Services**
- Provide emotional support, safety planning, and justice system information to children, youth, and their families.
- Offer court accompaniment and build trusting relationships with clients navigating trauma and justice-related systems.

**Program Administration**
- Schedule client appointments, manage intake coordination, and ensure smooth daily operations of the Centre.
- Maintain accurate case records, collect statistics, and support data reporting.
- Uphold confidentiality, data security, and trauma-informed best practices.

**Collaboration**
- Act as the primary liaison for multidisciplinary team members including RCMP, MCFD, medical, and legal professionals.
- Coordinate network meetings and participate in training to enhance CYAC model alignment.

What You Bring

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Relevant post-secondary education and at least 5 years of related experience, or a combination of education and equivalent training.
- Proven experience supporting children, youth, or families impacted by trauma or abuse.
- Familiarity with the Canadian criminal justice system and trauma-informed practices.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a personal vehicle.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record Check.
