Seaspan Vancouver Shipyard (VSY) is constructing new vessels for Canadian Navy and Coast Guard. We are currently in the process of selecting a new MRP (Material Resource Planning) system to improve cost certainty, adherence to schedule, and to make VSY more competitive for future contracts.

MRP is core to VSY’s business process & system architecture - on complex multi-year shipbuilding projects it drives purchasing (what to buy & when) and manufacturing schedule (who will manufacture/install what & where).

People Readiness (Change Management) Specialist will support both Phase 1 & Phase 2 of this project:

- Phase 1 is MRP Strategy (10 weeks remaining on a 29 week project) - aligning on requirements, aligning on new high-level processes, assessing MRP vendors, preparing a business case, and making a recommendation for a single MRP software.
- Phase 2 is MRP Implementation (1.5 years) - designing detailed requirements & processes, training & change management, software implementation & configuration.

**Duties/Accountabilities**
- Develop and iterate Change Impact Assessment. Capture stakeholders, change impacts, degree of change, and sentiments to change. Leverage Change Impact Assessment to develop mitigation strategies, training plan, and subsequent comms and engagement tactics
- Develop and implement Training Plan. Work closely with Business Analysts, Functional Super-Users, and Learning & Development specialists to create and deliver training
- Develop and implement Communications and Engagement Plan. Perform Audience & Channel Analysis. Ensure impacted audiences receive consistent and appropriate messaging at expected cadences, and have an escalation channel for questions

**Education and Skills**
- Prosci or comparable change management certification
- Advanced PowerPoint skills
- 5-7 years of experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Leadership and business acumen
- Experience working in business transformation
