**JOB PURPOSE**:
Summit Truck Equipment (Canada) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk. This position is an integral part of the day-to-day financial operations of the organization. The Accounting Clerk will assist with AR and GL functions.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Manage customer accounts and provide excellent customer service.
- Accept payments
- Follow up on unpaid invoices and delinquent accounts.
- Resolve invoicing and payment discrepancies.
- Coordinate and resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment
history, credit line, etc.
- Reconcile daily cash transactions.
- Clean and maintain accounting schedules.
- Send customer statements.
- Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Provide support to other Summit Truck Equipment team members.
- Other duties as assigned by the manager
**Requirements**:
**WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES**:
- Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard,
photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
- Ability to communicate by providing verbal / written feedback in a professional manner.
- Normal range of hearing and vision.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS**:
- High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
- Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask.
- Strong organization skills.
- Strong data entry and math skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
