Administration - Commercial Support Specialist - 18

Reporting to the Plant Administration Supervisor, the Commercial Support Specialist will provide key support activities. This support role performs duties such as commodity purchase settlements and logistics backup.
This is a temporary role position and will last 18 months.
Essential Functions:
- Act as a liaison to the Plant Administrative Supervisor
- Ensure that all plant commodity purchases and receipts are properly controlled, applied, and settled as per the producer’s instructions
- Coordinate the gathering of documentation requested by various internal/external audits, specifically in regards to SOX narratives
- Assisting various other departments with administrative duties, including but not limited to data entry and support for Health & Safety recognition programs and clothing orders
- Maintain Headcount tracking & reporting
- Continuous Improvement process reviews & implementation
- Administrative duties including filing, ordering catering, maintaining postage & office supply levels, answering phones, shipping courier
- Vacation coverage for Oils Support position
- Annual record retention archiving and offsite storage coordination
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Experience:
- Post-secondary education preferred; high school diploma or equivalency is required
- Prior work experience in customer service, both to internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated problem solving experience and ability to react quickly and make decisions in a rapidly changing environment
- Must have ability to work in a fast paced team environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Proficient skills with Microsoft Office, Excel and SAP
- Effective mathematical, written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Requirement to maintain all aspects of the quality and food/feed safety system such as QMS, HACCP, GMP and other BNA systems.
