Student Centre Education Coordinator

The Student Centre, part of the Education Department at Unity Health Toronto, is committed to enhancing the student experience by ensuring that all students receive uniform, relevant and effective resources and services within a multipurpose, inter-professional centre. The Student Centre is a welcoming environment that supports all student types including: Health Disciplines, Nursing, Medicine (undergraduate and postgraduate), and Administrative & Operational.

**Position overview**:
We are currently seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven individual to join our team as a Student Centre Coordinator. In this role, you will organize curriculum implementation and coordinate activities and programs for undergraduate medical students within the FitzGerald Academy. You will also play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient onboarding, registration, and support of our learners. Your responsibilities will involve a wide range of tasks, including:

- Coordinating curricular delivery for FitzGerald Academy medical students while ensuring that all curricular guidelines provided by the academic partners are followed as appropriate. Tasks include but are not limited to: tutor/patient recruitment and tracking, coordinating exams.
- Creating and coordinating complex schedules and activities, such as course schedules, OSCEs, tutor assignments and student rotation schedules.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support the programming, student curricular events and student coordination.
- Scheduling, preparing teaching rooms and communicating session details to students and tutors.
- Planning, managing, and coordinating orientations and educational events, including building relationships with faculty and inviting them to lead sessions.
- Serving as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on matters related to undergraduate medical student placements.
- Collaborating with the Student Centre team, hospital departments, and our academic partners to facilitate efficient learner onboarding and registration.
- Providing exceptional customer service while registering, validating, and troubleshooting student placements in person, electronically, and within our registration system.
- Managing the collection, analysis, and distribution of learner and education data/metrics, and engaging in scholarly activities as required.
- Collaborating with and supporting other members of the Student Centre team to provide additional student services and organize special events such as Education Week, Medical Education Achievement Awards, holiday parties, etc.
- Coordinating various tasks and projects within the Unity Health Toronto Education portfolio.
- Providing administrative support to select Education committees, meetings, and related materials, and participating/leading as required.

**Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with internal and external stakeholders at all organizational levels;
- Strong customer service skills;
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and efficient time management;
- Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities/projects in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, and meeting deadlines with a high degree of accuracy;
- Strong computer skills including high proficiency with Microsoft Office;
- At least 1 year of practical experience in a student environment e.g. university/college, student support services, academic training hospital/hospital education department preferred;
- Experience with project coordination;
- Undergraduate Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience;
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and independently;
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the Mission and Values of Unity Health Toronto;
- Excellent attendance record and punctuality.
