**Job Title**: Student Supports Coordinator
**Reports To**: Manager, Student Supports
**Job purpose**
The Student Supports Coordinator works with a team of professional staff that support the student leadership and goals of the organization. This position is responsible for the development, operation and support of CCSAI services and support, including in-person and virtual service delivery.
This position requires the incumbent to work effectively and foster cooperative relationships with student leaders as part of a student focused organization.
Hours of work: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday with some evening and weekend work.
Location of work: Primarily located at Progress campus with travel to other campuses as required. Remote work arrangements can be made for a portion of the expected hours.
**Duties and responsibilities**
Services Coordination
- With the Manager, Student Supports, ensure the CCSAI meets all contracted obligations with third-party service providers, and ensures all obligations due to the CCSAI are met
- Coordinates delivery of the domestic student health plan including timely maintenance of plan enrollment data.
- With the Student Supports Team Lead, provides expert support to students experiencing issues with the health plan.
- Coordinates online marketplace including regular review of postings to ensure adherence with all relevant requirements
- Creates and maintains service delivery details/guides to assist the Student Supports team in the provision of all CCSAI services
- With the Manager, Student Supports, establishes and curates partnerships for student discount and benefit programs
- Coordinates the Food Bank services; and maintains the Food Bank inventory/supplies with the Food Services Manager
- Liases with the Manager, Marketing & Communications to create awareness of service details and access processes for all services, including activations for Orientation, service fair, open houses and other events
- With the Manager, Student Supports identifies and recommends best practices for services, including potential new services
- With the Student Supports Team Lead maintains ongoing service delivery data; reports delivery data to the Manager, Student Supports on an ongoing basis
- Creates a friendly service experience for anyone with questions regarding services
- Provides training to CCSAI staff on all service processes and procedures as needed
- Provides guidance and education to all CCSAI staff on any changes to CCSAI services
Administrative
- Fully conversant with, and fully adheres to, the bylaws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the CCSAI and Centennial College
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager, Student Supports
**Qualifications**
Education/Experience:
- Post secondary education in a field related to office administration and/or business or equivalent experience
- 2 - 3 years’ related experience in office management and administration
- Experience in working with student government or not-for-profit organizations an asset
Specialized Knowledge:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Office Suite, Outlook, Dropbox, Dayforce and Fusion
- Understanding of basic OHIP policies and procedures, and health/dental plan protocols
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior customer service skills and ability to deal with many and immediate customer demands
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, alumni and the public
- Excellent time management skills and planning skills in order to manage workload with competing demands
- Excellent organization, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
