Applications are invited for the regular position of part-time International Logistics & Events Assistant in the International Division. The starting salary is $26.26/hr for a 24 hour work week, spread out over Monday - Friday. Work hours may need to be adjusted to evenings and weekends, based on scheduled activities and events. Additional hours may be required at peak times during the year such as start or end of term. The position is located at the Welland Campus.

The International Logistics & Events Assistant is responsible to support the planning, organization and coordination of the logístical travel, preparation, and execution of events for NC business travellers and inbound delegation groups.

The International Logistics & Events Assistant will work directly with the Associate Director, Cultural & Global Engagement to ensure that all corporate travellers, including Be World Ready (BWR) travellers, receive necessary information to create seamless experiences for those who will travel abroad for NC business, on specialized programs such as the delivery of NC’s pre-departure in key international markets or those who will be welcomed to our campuses for large scale events, such as NC’s Familiarization Tour (FAM).

The incumbent will collaborate closely with the International Logistics & Event Coordinator to assist with arranging and booking logístical and event needs for the assigned project. Collaborating organizations may range from travel agents, airlines, insurance companies, accommodation organizations, ground transportation companies, banquet venues, caterers, and destination management companies.

The incumbent supports multiple teams across the international division and other areas of the College who will be travelling on College business.

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Monitor and update travel tracking documents and systems
- Assist with updating and sharing documents and preparation materials for travelers via digital and physical mediums
- Facilitate obtaining travel quotes and compliance with NC travel policy
- Assist with arranging and booking flights and hotels for corporate travelers and Be World Ready as needed
- Monitor travel advisories and important updates for travel destinations
- Develop specialized on campus tours for international partners and delegates
- Coordinate logístical requirements for on campus promotional activities
- Monitor and adhere to critical paths developed for events and programs
- Assist with organizing student volunteers and staff for international visitor and special events
- Maintain accurate records of travel expenses, invoices, and receipts for reconciliation and timely payment
- Generate and distribute reports summarizing travel and event logistics for management review
- Ensure compliance with NC travel policies and industry regulations in all documentation
- Organize and track international swag inventory
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- 2-year diploma in Event Management, Tourism, Hospitality, Business, Project Management, Office Administration, or related field of study.
- 2 years experience in travel coordination, event planning, or logistics management
- Familiarity with travel booking platforms and event management software is a plus
- Demonstrated intercultural competence is required
