Production Analyst

The Production Analyst is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate flow of production information and control functions. The role entails gathering and optimizing data such as labor costs, and production volumes, and ensuring efficiency by identifying, analyzing, and designing, models that will ensure areas of improvement and suit the needs of the operation.

**Accountabilities / Direct Responsibilities**
- Analyze and develop plans with management to efficiently utilize production staff in order to optimize production processes.
- Assist in the daily production planning process and communicate to all once finalized.
- Identify and communicate operational issues and recommend improvement initiatives accordingly
- Develop cost, labour and yield models as well as reporting structures that identify production rates
- Provide accurate information for daily deliverables
- Communicate anticipated delivery dates to sales, customers and internal departments.
- Work with the Production Manager to adjust production schedules to accommodate changes to customer orders and/or changes in production capacity
- Responsible for all reports documenting production results
- Liaise with shipping department to ensure efficient delivery to customers
- Balance raw material receipts daily and verify raw material / finished goods inventory weekly
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain records and documentation according to guidelines in a timely and accurate manner
- Review daily production records
- Ensure key performance indicators including Health and Safety, Customer Service/Satisfaction, Inventory losses/damages, communications, productivity and good manufacturing practices are adhered to
- Work in conjunction with the Production Department in order to meet the needs as it relates to available inventory and product rotation
- Provide weekly reports to members of the senior management team
- Other duties as and when assigned

**Preferred Skills / Experience & Abilities**
- Minimum requirement of Engineering Bachelor’s Degree or relevant work experience
- Supply Chain Management accreditation or experience required
- Minimum of 1-year experience in inventory control and/or scheduling in a manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, leadership skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Strong computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word & Excel)
