**Position Overview**

This position will be the assigned Business Analyst on the Enterprise Asset Management Solution (EAMS) Project for this one-year term. As a member of a team of ITS Business Analysts, this position will use a customer centered approach to provide internal consulting to business partners and facilitate technology solutions to assist the corporation to meet its business objectives. This position will work with business partners, service providers and in consultation with other ITS Department staff.

**Responsibilities**

As a key member of the Strategic IT Service Delivery team, the Business Analyst is responsible for:

- Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure successful project implementation.
- Leveraging expertise and experience to deliver effective BA consultative services.
- Planning, coordinating and facilitating business discovery/process review sessions, documenting outcomes into artifacts and driving review/approval.
- Undertaking review of business process inputs and deliverables. Participating in knowledge transfer to incorporate BA outcomes into project activities.
- Providing support to additional project implementation activities including, but not limited to, change management, communications, training, user documentation, testing, and Go-Live support.
- Leveraging expertise and experience to assess opportunities for process improvement and best practices in physical/tangible asset life cycle management.
- In conjunction with business partners, updating business processes to reflect best practices in physical/tangible asset life cycle management to enable them to achieve operational efficiency and to promote the use of existing technology investments.

**Requirements**:
Five years’ experience working on medium to large technology projects and a keen understanding of legislative and technology changes and impact on City systems is an asset. Experience in municipal operations and physical/tangible asset management is an asset.
