**About the Role**

**What does a great Business Analyst do?**

The Business Analyst will formulate and define system scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. The Business Analyst devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems for our clients and our market. This includes analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements and translation into proper system requirement specifications.

**How you will provide meaningful contributions**:

- Conduct analysis of clients' project objectives and define the optimal solution.
- Conduct data analysis based on source data systems;
- Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.
- Identify product requirements for project objectives, assess and make recommendations on product enhancements
- Deliver agreed-upon products within committed timeframes, while rigorously managing scope and change.
- Drive Quality Control through testing and deliverable pre-hand-off testing
- Develop detailed documentation to train client users on the purchased products and ensure efficient handoff to Production Support upon go-live.
- Collaborate as a team to build and roll out new product features for InvestCloud clients.
- Effectively collaborate and communicate complex technical specifications to clients and internal teams.
- Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected project requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**Basic Qualifications for Consideration**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field
- Graduate Degree a plus
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in Business Analysis in Fintech or related industry
- Expert with Excel and Data Analysis, including modeling, lookups and macro writing
- Knowledge of investment management, portfolio accounting, financial market data and portfolio performance
- Solid understanding of performance evaluation concepts
- Familiarity with different calculation methodologies: Time-weighted return, Internal rate of return, Modified Dietz
- Understand use of benchmarks and how benchmarks are selected
- Ability to describe different measures of risk, how they are calculated and used in performance evaluation
- Understanding of performance attribution and how it is used by investment managers
- CFA charter a plus
- Technical software spec writing and documentation
- Familiar with system integrations (custodial or accounting sources, APIs, etc.)
- Ability to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
- Ability to handle stressful situations with perseverance and professionalism
- Effective interpersonal skills and maintaining consent communications with internal teams.
- Additional exposure and experience considered a plus:

- SQL
- Java
- Data Modeling and Mapping
- Understanding of Product Development Lifecycle
and SaaS delivery
- Experience as a Data or Research Analyst

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant’s geographic location.

Salary range: $75,000 - $140,000
