**About the position**:
**Role and Responsibilities**:
The individual will be part of the Learning Strategies Program and will work closely with the guidance of the Learning Strategies Coordinator. This individual will be required to support students in managing organizational strategies, completing school work, studying, and communicating with teachers, parents, and the Strategies Team. This staff member will help ensure that the student is using time effectively at school, breaking down assignments into small steps, explaining complex vocabulary, identifying aspects that are too challenging for the student, and creating timelines with the student to ensure work is completed on time.
The use of multiple approaches to teaching and supporting diverse learners
The use of a calm and respectful demeanor that fosters positive engagement with students who have social-emotional challenges or developmental disorders
Demonstrate professional value in diversity as it relates to all people, including aspects of identity, as well as having respect for Indigenous traditions and ways of knowing
Support the student with organization and planning strategies to complete schoolwork
Track student progress
**Requirements for the position**:
Relevant Bachelor’s degree
Demonstrated competence in Grade 12 Math
