**Position: Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) / Assistant Supervisor**
**Location**: Toronto, ON
**Centre**: Wee Leprechauns Childcare Centre
**Employment Type**: Full-Time (Split Role: Classroom & Administrative)
**Hours**: Between 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM (Schedule to be determined)

**About the Role**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Classroom (2-4 hours daily)**:

- Support educators and work directly with children in the classroom
- Ensure curriculum delivery meets centre and ministry standards
- Promote a warm, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

**To remove the need for supply teachers, there is a possibility this person would go in class if a staff sickness, vacation occurs.

**Administrative (3-4 hours daily)**:

- Assist in staff scheduling and management
- Ensure compliance with AQI, CCEYA, and all City of Toronto and Ministry of Education regulations
- Conduct staff training, orientation, and mentorship for new educators
- Maintain up-to-date and engaging classroom boards and parent communication tools (e.g., newsletters)
- Participate in marketing and enrolment efforts, including conducting centre tours
- Restock supplies and manage inventory
- Attend monthly meetings with the Owner and lead bi-monthly team meetings
- Collaborate with Public Health, Ministry officials, and licensing specialists as required

**Required Qualifications**:

- **RECE designation** and current registration with the **College of Early Childhood Educators**:

- Minimum **5 years of experience** working in a licensed childcare centre in Ontario
- **Current Standard First Aid & CPR Level C certification**:

- **Current (within 6 months) TB Test** and **Vulnerable Sector Police Check**:

- **Valid Food Handling Certificate**:

- Demonstrated knowledge and fluency with **CCEYA**, AQI standards, and relevant municipal and provincial regulations
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide staff in a positive, professional manner
- Excellent **written and verbal English** communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task effectively
- Proficient with administrative duties including staff scheduling, parent communications, and compliance documentation
- Passionate about early childhood development and dedicated to high-quality programming
- Enjoys working both in-class and in an administrative leadership capacity
- Comfortable representing the centre professionally to families, community partners, and regulatory bodies
- Creative and enthusiastic about contributing to classroom environments and centre culture
- Flexible, collaborative, and eager to grow into a more office-focused role as the centre expands
