The Production Supervisor monitors operations of the production department to ensure that qualitative and quantitative measures included in the operating plan are met. Specific focus is on sanitation and quality results (HACCP and SQF), health and safety, good manufacturing practices and productivity. The incumbent participates to maintain the requirements on food safety and quality. Other areas of focus are employee relations, production scheduling and staffing, cost reductions, liaising with our chemical supplier and customer satisfaction.

The afternoon/night shift supervisor will be required to cover shifts on afternoon or night as required.

**What’s involved in this role**:

- Liaises with the Quality, Maintenance and Shipping Departments to minimize downtime and ensure product safety and quality.
- Supports the operation of the HACCP team to ensure that the facility and documentation is suitable for third party / customer audits to maintain the SQF/ HACCP, and status at the plant.
- Undertakes other functions as required.

**What you need to join our team**:

- College Diploma or University Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor with direct involvement in a unionized production facility.
- Experience in dairy industry is an added advantage.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and leading change would be considered an asset.
- Computer literacy, ideally with MS Office (Word and Excel).
- Knowledge of quality assurance systems (HACCP and SQF), an asset.
