**About the Role**

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical and proactive Inventory Manager to oversee our company’s inventory operations. This role ensures accurate replenishment, strategic vendor management, and data-driven inventory control. In addition to executing core purchasing duties, the Inventory Manager will evaluate item sourcing initiatives, manage vendor performance scorecards, analyze Inventory Health, and monitor product dating and shelf-life reports.

Key Responsibilities
- **Inventory Reporting**:Oversee the generation and use of inventory reports to guide purchasing decisions, support warehouse operations, and inform sales planning. Create and report on Inventory turns, in stock %, slow moving, damaged stock, ABC Analysis refreshed quarterly, and other metrics as needed.
- **Opportunity/Spot Buying**:Lead the purchasing process for inventory replenishment by reviewing forecasts, reorder points, minimum stock levels to maintain optimal inventory availability, and historical usage data.
- **Inventory Management**:Supervise inventory integrity through audits, booking oversight, and adjustments and reconciliation of discrepancies. Coordinate inventory transfers between locations; validate records and oversee stock balancing efforts.
- **New Item Setup**:Ensure new item creation in ERP systems includes accurate data, supplier information, and required internal coding.
- **Container Tracking**:Oversee inbound container tracking and coordination with logistics to ensure timely delivery updates and operational readiness.
- **HACCP/SFCR Coordinator**:Conform to the HACCP standards and ensure the organization is maintaining their status as well as performing quarterly audits.
- **Item Sourcing**:Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and source new products or suppliers to meet business needs, improve pricing, or increase margin potential.
- **Vendor Scorecard & Management**:Develop and maintain vendor performance scorecards to assess vendor performance across key metrics including delivery accuracy, pricing, service levels, and responsiveness. Lead vendor review meetings and hold suppliers accountable to key performance indicators.
- **Product Dating & Fresh Age Reports**:Monitor expiry dates and shelf-life of products to report the results to sales to help, reduce waste, and maintain freshness standards.
- **Inventory Risk assessment**: Determine goods arriving at warehouse against sales orders; ship dates to ascertain if a short shipment is present. Work with vendors and carriers to decrease lead time to meet sales deadlines

**Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in supply chain, business, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of experience in purchasing or inventory management, including supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong supplier negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, and inventory planning tools.
- High attention to detail, analytical ability, and proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
