**Overview**
ActiveLife Physiotherapy is located in Markham is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our dynamic team as an Office Administrator/Receptionist. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, customer-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
**Responsibilities**
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and handle patient communications effectively.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Jane billing Software, TELUS and other billing software
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details prior to appointments.
- Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed.
- Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
- Support billing processes by preparing necessary documentation and following up on claims.
- Experience in Office experience administrative/management role - ideally in a medical environment where you have developed knowledge of insurance rules, billing practices.
**Skills Required**:
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process.
- Friendly and welcoming attitude, with the ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
- A professional who demonstrates initiative, attention to detail and follow through.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills are a must
- Proficiency/fluency in the English language (written and spoken) is a must
- Medical Administration Diploma is an asset
- Good computer skills, ideally with working knowledge of Electronic Booking Medical Records systems (ie TELUS, HCAI, Jane Software, etc)
- Experience working with a Physiotherapist an asset
- cantonese or Mandarin would be an asset.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.50-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Work Location: In person
