**OVERVIEW**

The Cocktail Server is responsible for serving beverage items while providing exceptional customer service to guests at our bar and lounge. Other responsibilities include taking beverage orders, making recommendations, processing payments, and ensuring that guest’s needs and service expectations are exceeded.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Greet and communicate with all guests in a friendly and courteous manner
- Consistently deliver exceptional service to every guest while interacting and entertaining in a professional manner
- Communicates drink specials, answers questions about available beverage and takes beverage orders in a timely fashion
- Serves alcohol beverage responsibly, verifies identification if needed, and adhere to all unit and company alcohol service policies, Serving it Right and procedures
- Enters orders into POS, prepares and delivers check to guests
- Pick up drink orders when ready and delivers orders to guests
- Remove empty or dirty glasses and bottles returning them to the bar or pantry
- Provide cocktail service to our guests by circulating between Centre Bar on the 2nd level, Lotus on the 3rd Level, or VIP areas
- Adheres to policies and procedures set forth by Parq Vancouver
- Be aware of all events and promotions within Parq to be prepared for the business levels

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**
- Previous cocktail service experience is preferred, or restaurant server experience is required
- Maintain an updated knowledge of the brands of beer, wine and liquor being offered for consumption
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take beverage orders and fill those orders correctly
- Must be able to work weekend, holidays, and nights as needed
- Able to work in a fast pace in often crowed/noisy environment

**CERTIFICATES AND/OR LICENSES REQUIREMENTS**
- Ability to obtain a valid GPEB registration
- Ability to complete all BCLC required trainings
- Serving it Right Certification

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Able to lift, handle, and transport materials that are over 20lbs
- Required to sit, stand and walk during working hours- Parq Vancouver exists on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xwm_ə_θkw_ə_y_̓ə_m (Musqueam), S_ḵ_wx_̱_wú7mesh (Squamish), and s_ə_l_̓_ilw_ə_ta_Ɂ_ɬ_ (Tsleil-Waututh).
