Supervisor, Roads and Infrastructure

We are looking for a positive and dedicated leader to fill our Roads, Fleet, and Facilities Supervisor position Reporting to the Manager of Infrastructure Assets, the Supervisor will oversee the operation, maintenance and repair/replacement of roads, facilities, and fleet assets. This includes providing leadership, guidance and support of both day-to-day operations and assigned projects ensuring that the business unit meets operational plan goals and objectives while in compliance with all Municipal, Provincial and Federal Acts, Regulations, bylaws and policies.
- Boasts strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop staff
- Possesses previous experience in growing and executing asset management plans for roads, facilities, and fleet infrastructure.
- Has the proven ability to make sound decisions with mínimal supervision
- Can communicate effectively in a professional manner in both written and verbal form with the public and internal staff
- Possesses exceptional operational knowledge of roads and facility services
- Is knowledgeable in procurement, tendering, contract management, and creation of project plans
- Understands OHS and Risk Management programs
**Education**:
- Completion of a degree or diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business or related discipline.
- An equivalent combination of education and directly related experience in the field of road or facility maintenance/planning may be considered.
**The following certifications or training are considered assets to the position**:
- Designation as a Public Works Supervisor with APWA
Knowledge of Pavement Management Systems (Road Matrix or HPMA)
PMP designation
Training with GIS Systems
OHS Training
Microsoft Office Suites
**Experience**:
- 3-5 years’ of directly related experience in Roads or Facilities
- Minimum 3 years’ of progressive supervisory experience, preferably in a municipal or unionized environment
The salary range for this position is $78,228 - $99,528 per annum. The current work week is based on 35 hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. The option to participate in an alternate work schedule may be available. The Town offers an excellent benefits package including the Local Authorities Pension Plan.
