We are looking for enthusiastic and team-oriented people to join our team that helps keep our Alberta provincial highways safe. You have a Class 1 or Class 3 license and a desire to work for a community-minded organization. You will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of Alberta highways, using various heavy equipment.

Essential Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other equipment as required
- Maintain Alberta provincial highways on a seasonal basis, including assisting with Labourer duties (crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
- Work outside in all weather conditions

**Qualifications**:

- Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Be able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Possess a valid Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with air endorsement
- Provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset

Work Conditions
- Applicants that are local may be given preference due to the location of the work
- As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
- Benefits and RRSP provided by CLAC

Rates & Premiums:

- Will be provided a base hourly rate from $26/hour to $29.25/hour based on experience
- Operators will be eligible to receive premiums starting at $8/hour, when performing winter maintenance operations
- Operators will be eligible to receive a premium starting at $14/hour when performing winter operations as a Class 1 operator and while operating the tow plow unit
