**Job title**: Account Manager
**Job overview**: The Account Manager works with a consultative sales approach in delivering indoor air quality solutions to our established customer base, developing new business relationships and educating customers on the importance of quality filtration.
**Reports to**: Regional Sales Manager
**Hours of work**: Monday - Friday (8:00AM-4:30PM). Working outside of these hours is required for afterhours meetings, training, travel and emergency calls. Overnight travel is required.
**Tasks, duties and responsibilities**:
- Maintain sales territory with the expectation of sales growth and new customer growth
- Service existing customers in designated territory
- Introduce new products to the marketplace
- Ensure that all contracts and commitments are kept with customers
- Complete customer orders, quotations, bids and surveys accurately and promptly
- Develop a written sales plan daily, weekly, and monthly and consult with your manager. Discuss sales goals and performance with your manager and the Sales team in meetings
- Maintain call frequencies to existing customers and prospects as per agreed upon with your Sales Manager
- Complete quarterly reviews with your Sales Manager to ensure you are meeting your objectives for the territory
- Support and collaborate with Marketing and other Account Managers to deliver and improve our quality filtration presentations and education to our customers such as Clean Air Clinics
- Work with other departments to provide customers with best quality filtration and cost-effective filtration solutions. Regularly visit customers to discuss BGE service level, filtration performance, opportunities to perform other work and resolve current issues
- Complete site surveys of all new customer facilities and documents filtration needs, special requirements and equipment locations
- Maintain accurate and complete information for all customers and ensure that any customer information changes are communicated to the appropriate areas
- Continue to increase your product knowledge and expertise in Indoor Air Quality and Filtration through training and meetings as well as any vendor training necessary for your job’s functions
- Participate in marketing plans, trade shows, mail outs, proposal packages
- Participate and prepare for Annual Sales Meeting
- Adopt BGE’s sales philosophy (“Killing Herb”) for further development of your sales and consulting skills. This training will be provided to you and will give you the tools you need to develop, retain and win business
- Emphasize and monitors safety performance and obligations in all areas of the department
- Other duties as assigned
**Physical requirements**: Standing; walking; bending; working in confined spaces, dusty environments; exposure to extreme temperatures, heights, noise and heavy-lifting up to 23kg (50lbs).
**Knowledge, skills, abilities and other competencies**:
- Ability to develop strategic and good working relationships with our customers, colleagues and stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize
- Comfortable working independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong organizational and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to details
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable and highly self-motivated for success
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Must possess a Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and provincial Driver’s Abstract
- HVAC and related industrial experience is desired
- Mechanical aptitude is highly desired
**Other requirements**:
- Must be authorized to legally work in Canada
- Possess valid class 5 driver license with driver abstract that meets BGE requirements
- This is a safety sensitive position. Applicants must be able to pass pre-employment and pre-access drug and alcohol tests
