**The Opportunity**:
We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to join our team in our Vancouver office

The Accounting Manager at Fossil Landscape Construction is a proven multi-tasker responsible for full cycle accounting, financial statements, time and material billing, accounts payable and receivable, in-house payroll, general ledger, fixed assets/equipment tracking and controlling, budgeting, and reconciliation. They work directly with project managers to create invoices and project summary reports in timely manner for client distribution. This position reports to the President and is part of the Management team.

**Responsibilities**
- Job cost accounting, ensuring accuracy and tracking of project costs in collaboration with project managers
- Assembles client billings packages in accordance with contract terms and conditions
- Monitoring and overseeing accounts receivable activities, as well as responsible for accounts payable with support of the full-time Accounts Payable Specialist
- Manages all aspects of the company accounting software system to track operational and financial data
- Works to implement and update systems including operational and financial systems, payroll, fixed asset management, expense management, cash management.
- Prepares bank deposits and manages monthly reconciliation of financial accounts including bank, credit cards, AP, and AR accounts
- Bi-weekly payroll processing using Viewpoint Spectrum and issuing of T4, T4A, ROE, and pay slips
- Manage the development and maintenance of timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users
- Ensures that external document submissions and filings are accurate and timely
- Ensures effective financial internal controls are in place for the Department and the Company, including controls over expenses, fixed assets, cash management and inventory control.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 5-years ' experience in an Accounting Manager/Generalist capacity
- Post-Secondary education in accounting or finance.
- Experience with Viewpoint Spectrum or working with multiple different accounting software.
- Has experience developing budgets and forecasts
- Experience with fixed price and time and material billing with knowledge of standard labour costing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening) to effectively analyze, deliver, and present financial information
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and delegate responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner
